MiniTerm

Middle School MiniTerm

Trevor has a tried and true tradition to stamp out the winter doldrums. For three weeks each winter, Middle School students immerse themselves in Trevor’s unique MiniTerm experience. Through intensive units of study in non-traditional subjects, students have the opportunity to explore personal interests and develop new passions, all while collaborating with students in different grades and connecting with new teachers.

Distinctive course offerings such as CSI Trevor, Modern Political Campaigns in the United States, and Science Triathlon are added to the school day to complement Trevor’s traditional course offerings. To round out the experience, the last two hours of every day are devoted to the arts. Students choose between staging a musical or a variety of dynamic arts courses.

Trevor Middle School Parent

We were completely blown away by the MiniTerm performance. I have no idea how you pulled that off after only three weeks of rehearsals, beginning to end. My wife, who was a theater major in college, assured me that this was worthy of Broadway. It was so sweet to see how seriously our child took this opportunity. All the work that went in was so apparent. Congrats!

Lower School MiniTerm

At the Lower School, 4th- and 5th-grade students work with faculty to stage their own MiniTerm musical performance. This production includes acting, singing, and dancing. It is also an opportunity for students to experience all that is involved in putting on a collaborative performance—from initial work with theatre games, to development of scenes, learning lines, to performing in front of a live audience.
