An Ambitious College-Preparatory Program

Trevor's Upper School Program

Trevor Upper School students pursue an ambitious college-preparatory program with requirements in English, history, mathematics, science, world language, computer science, the arts, and physical education.
Core courses such as coding, American history, and biology pave the way for college-level electives such as Politics and Power in the Middle East, advanced programming, and neuroscience. While a strong academic foundation is constructed, independent thought, and imaginative problem- solving are also purposefully cultivated. Students are encouraged to reach for greater levels of excellence in their coursework, and to discover new strengths and interests as they deepen their knowledge base.

Upper School Curriculum

Both in and out of the classroom, students are supported in their quest to explore their interests, take intellectual risks, and push themselves beyond their comfort zones. As independence grows, responsibility for oneself and the community are recognized. Students are encouraged to seek leadership opportunities in the classroom, on the field and stage, and in a wide range of extracurricular pursuits.

Welcome to Upper School at Trevor!

Our academic program thrives on dynamic and engaging learning, rooted in inquiry-based teaching, intimate class sizes, and a steadfast commitment to collaboration and inclusivity. At Trevor, students cultivate an appreciation for diverse perspectives, embrace multiculturalism, and tackle challenges together. Our educators serve as mentors, facilitators, and fellow learners, providing personalized support and guidance throughout each student’s academic journey.

Trevor’s curriculum is designed to nurture lifelong learners who transcend traditional boundaries. Beginning with foundational courses in 9th and 10th grades, students progress to a rich array of advanced courses and electives in 11th and 12th grades. Our dedicated faculty inspire students to pose thought-provoking questions, explore various viewpoints, and actively engage in collaborative projects, interdisciplinary studies, and real-world applications.

Complementing our rigorous academics is a vibrant co-curricular program offering a breadth of opportunities. From athletics and performing arts to clubs, service initiatives, and global travel, students are encouraged to pursue their passions, develop leadership skills, and connect with communities near and far. Our co-curricular activities foster friendships, passion exploration, and enduring bonds.

Since my first day on campus, I've witnessed Trevor students stand out for their enthusiasm for learning, resilience in embracing the unknown, compassion for others, and eagerness to innovate. These qualities radiate in classrooms, Centers, and outdoor learning spaces alike.

I invite students, faculty, staff, families, and our leadership team to join us in co-creating a vibrant learning environment at Trevor. Together, let's explore boundless opportunities for self-discovery, intellectual growth, and empowerment. Together, let's celebrate the remarkable achievements of our Trevor students.
